Position Summary
The Sr. IT Technical Training Specialist is a technically fluent enablement professional responsible for accelerating employee proficiency across HaloMD's technology ecosystem. This role serves as a hands-on technical navigator, helping employees quickly learn, access, and effectively use systems, tools, and environments.

The ideal candidate brings a foundation in software development, data analysis, or IT, combined with strong communication, training, and/or technical writing experience. This individual is comfortable working within technical environments—including database platforms (e.g., Snowflake), documentation tools (e.g., Confluence), AI tools (e.g., Claude), and cross-platform systems (Mac and PC)—and can translate complex workflows into clear, practical guidance.

This role partners closely with IT and engineering teams to ensure employees understand not just what tools to use, but how systems connect and operate, enabling faster onboarding, stronger adoption, and improved technical confidence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Collaboration:
  • Partner with IT, engineering, and system administrators to maintain a strong understanding of the organization's technology stack, including tools, systems, and integrations.
  • Navigate and demonstrate usage across technical environments, including data platforms (e.g., Snowflake), internal systems, and authentication/access workflows.
  • Act as a technical liaison, translating system functionality and workflows into user-friendly guidance.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to system access, connectivity, environment setup, and hardware usage (Mac/PC).
  • Maintain fluency in technical terminology and concepts to effectively communicate with technical teams.
  • Collaborate on maintaining and improving Confluence-based documentation and knowledge resources.
Training Delivery & Facilitation:
  • Facilitate technical onboarding sessions covering system setup, environment access, tools, and workflows.
  • Deliver hands-on training sessions for employees across varying technical skill levels, including IT and technical teams.
  • Demonstrate practical usage of tools and platforms, including:
  • Data environments (Snowflake).
  • Documentation platforms (Confluence).
  • AI tools (e.g., Claude).
  • Serve as a technical guide during training, helping users navigate systems in real time.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group coaching to support skill development and adoption.
  • Adapt delivery methods to meet the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences.
Content Development & Preparation:
  • Develop and maintain technical training materials, including step-by-step setup and workflow guides, Quick reference materials.
  • System navigation documentation, Video tutorials and walkthroughs.
  • Create hands-on exercises and real-world scenarios to reinforce learning.
  • Produce and maintain documentation within Confluence, ensuring accuracy, usability, and alignment with system updates.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into structured, accessible, and actionable content.
  • Prepare training environments, demo accounts, and practice systems.
 Program Coordination:
  • Support planning and coordination of training sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and technology setup.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify technical training needs and skill gaps.
  • Partner with Training Coordinator to track training participation, effectiveness, and feedback to continuously improve programs.
  • Support onboarding programs to ensure new hires achieve rapid technical readiness.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable learning solutions, including self-service resources.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Communication, Education, Instructional Design, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical training, IT support, technical enablement, or similar role.
  • Foundational experience in software development, data analysis, or technical systems environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of cross-platform systems (MAC and PC), system setup, access and connectivity, common enterprise tools and collaboration platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems and technologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly while maintaining credibility with technical audiences.
  • Experience facilitating training for diverse audiences, including technical users.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues in real time.
  • Proficiency with common business applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Confluence, and other collaboration tools).
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple training sessions and priorities.
  • Self-directed learner who stays current with technology trends and tools.
  • If not local, willingness to travel occasionally to Dallas, TX office for in-person training sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a software developer, engineer, or technical analyst.
  • Experience working with:
  • Snowflake or similar data platforms.
  • Confluence or other documentation/knowledge management tools.
  • AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data workflows, or system integrations.
  • Background in technical writing, learning & development, or enablement.
  • Experience supporting onboarding or training for technical teams.
  • IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or similar).
  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience creating video tutorials using screen recording software.
  • Strong content development skills with portfolio of training materials.
  • Experience in healthcare, technology, or corporate environments.
  • Familiarity with Monday.com or similar project management platforms.
